Watching the cold blooded sun rise above,
In Vein.
The warmth piercing the flesh
And heating my heart and soul
Until pleasure drives me insane.
I lose it
And hide my porcelain skin
From the rays of flame.
How can nature betray?
Killing the want for anything.
Like heroin,
Dripping from a rusty needle.
Like the cry of a young girl,
Left where no one can hear.
Locked up.
The only key,
At the bottom of a black sea.
As if it's actually possible,
To escape this tragedy.
Knowing there is only one way out.
Take it?
Or let nature take it?
Will the flame, wind, wave and dirt
Betray us again?
No one knows.
No one knows but those very elements
Of life and death.
Slowly move my hands away from white fear.
Thick clouds block the hot flames
From my burning soul.
Putting out the fire.
In my view
A black raven on the stone icy cement,
Pecking it's beak at a crimson berry.
I feel an ice cold drop
Touch the blush of my cheek.
Drops fall more and more
All around me
Covering the ground in white freckles.
The ice sooths my heart of the piercing flame.
Looking up through the snow
At the black sky.
I feel a peace of mind,
Knowing that the balance
Of natures cruel and tortuous ways
Are here to bring me home.
